Description
A Parent or Guardian over the age of 16 must be in the water actively participating.Please ensure that children who are not toilet-trained wear a swim diaper.All three levels of Parent & Tot are co-taught together, and progression is based upon age and participation. Parents/Caregivers will learn how to safely assist their child in the pool. Together you will sing songs and play games, while learning front and back positions, arm and leg movements, breath control, and more!Parent and Tot 1: Designed for the 4-12 month-oldParent and Tot 2: Designed for the 12-24 month-oldParent and Tot 3: Designed for the 2-3 year-old
Transition Tots is a bonus level that has been developed at WMC for children aged 2.5 - 4 years old who are not quite ready to let go of Mom and Dad. Parents/Caregivers will participate in the water for the first few weeks of lessons and transition to observing from the deck before the end of the session. Skills will focus on assisted front/back positions, kicking/paddling, and submersion, while instilling confidence to swim with the Instructor instead of with the Parent. This class is a hybrid of Parent & Tot 3 and Preschool 1.Please ensure that children not toilet-trained wear a swim diaper.
