Want to try out mountain biking, but not sure how to start?Mountain Bike 101 is the perfect class for absolute beginners looking to build confidence and learn the basics in a fun, supportive environment.
In this class, you'll learn:
? The fundamentals of setting up your bike? Basic braking and shifting techniques? Proper body positioning for balance and stability? Trail etiquette and rules to ride responsibly
Required Equipment:
? Mountain bike in good working condition ? Mountain bikes have wider (over 2”) tires with knobby treads and flat wide handlebars ? Your bike should shift, break, and the tires should hold air ? Recommended features include a suspension fork, disc brakes, and a dropper seat post? Helmet? Backpack, hip pack or bottle cages/pockets for water, food, and clothing.
This class will meet at the Wulf Rec Center parking lot near tennis courts.
