About this event

All Levels* $100-$150 Materials and Studio Fees* In this dynamic and challenging workshop, you will complete a Japanese-influenced chef knife from start to finish. All aspects of knifemaking will be covered, including coal forge operation, forging, basic metallurgy, handle construction and design. The goal is that you will leave with a finished, sharpened knife ready to be put to work in the kitchen. *While appropriate for those with no experience, participants should be prepared that this workshop is challenging and requires a degree of hardiness and resilience. *Materials and studio fees are charged to students based on studio usage and materials Touchstone is providing at the request of the instructor. Additionally, some instructors may also require that you bring certain materials and tools with you, in which case a list will be provided. Final cost of these fees will be posted at least two weeks ahead of the workshop to be paid in full prior to check-in.
