About this event
Join NAU's amazing Rebecca Whitehurst for Adult Modern Dance & Choreography! In this class, students will practice modern dance technique, focusing on fall & recovery, connecting to breath, contractions, spirals and traveling, as well as movement qualities and musicality. You will also get to explore how to choreograph your own work! Class begins with a floor warmup followed by technique exercises in center and across the floor. The class concludes with improvisation work and solo composition. Class meets once a week on Saturdays from 10:30am-11:30am in Studio A. The class rate is $15/h at 1 hour per week for 15 weeks of class (Aug. 18 - Dec. 7, 2024). Students are asked to wear comfortable clothing that moves. No shoes are needed. Please bring water bottle as well.
