Description
Includes Emergency First Aid and CPR "B" training.Requirements to register: must be 13 years of age by exam date or have successfully complete the Bronze Star Award. Proof of prerequisites will be required at the first class. Class teaches an understanding of lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education - judgement, knowledge, skill, and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, defence methods, and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types.
Please note: an endurance test of 500 metres or 20 lengths timed swim must be completed prior to the end of the course in order for the candidate to be successful.
