Description
Teaching Artist: Jocelyn LombardoClass Dates: Wednesdays from January 29 - April 9Skip Date: Wednesday, March 26Rain Date: Wednesday, April 16Principles of acting are explored in this fun and supportive class created specifically for teens. Students learn to “dig deep” in this foundational class, exploring basic acting techniques, analyzing scripts and developing full-bodied characters from the inside out using monologues and scenes taken from contemporary plays. Warm-ups, theater games and in-class performances help students grow in self-confidence, public speaking and creativity. Family and friends are invited to a showcase at the end of the semester.
Children must be ready to participate in the class independently. Parents are invited into the classroom for a brief 5-minute orientation on the first day of class.
