About this event
Adult advisor: Srinivas Singavarapu Email: srinivas_sy@yahoo.com Student Advisor: Ishan, Ronald Dates: Every Tuesday with the first meeting on 9/10 and the last on 4/29 Time: 4:15 PM–5:15 PM Grades: 7–9 Cost: $150 Description: At the AI Club, we believe that the best way to understand and appreciate the power of AI is through hands-on exploration and teamwork. Our club activities are designed to be interactive and engaging, fostering a culture of peer-driven learning and knowledge sharing. Our club will start as a traditional classroom setting for the first few months and then evolve into a collaborative learning environment where members share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences. You can expect peer led instruction and the following: 1 | We will dedicate time to learning about new AI tools, programming, advancements and ethics. Later, apply them to a mentor-led group project that students later present during a final showcase. 2 | Group Discussions: Participate in lively discussions on the latest AI trends, applications, and ethical considerations, where everyone’s perspective is valued and contributes to our collective understanding. 3 | Joint Projects: Work together on exciting AI projects, such as building chatbots, or developing computer vision applications. Collaborate, troubleshoot, and celebrate your achievements as a team. 4 | Coding Challenges: Push your coding skills to the next level by tackling AI-related coding challenges, with the support and feedback of your peers. 5 | Guest Speakers: Students learn from industry and academic guest speakers about AI’s impact in domains such as healthcare, transportation, and chat applications. 6 | Resource Sharing: Gain access to a wealth of AI resources, tutorials, and tools, curated and contributed by club members themselves. [Prior knowledge of computer programming is suggested but not mandatory]
