Are you looking for real-world engineering experience? Or perhaps you’re looking to gain business, software, or design expertise? BASIS’s award-winning FIRST Robotics team is in their second season, and looking for more passionate learners. There are no prerequisites! Students who join the team will undergo intensive training with our veteran team members, and work together to build multiple full sized competition robots. Students will learn about CAD, mechanical design principles, and advanced machinery such as a CNC router. In build season, students will work together under a six week time period to design, build and program a robot for a unique game prompt. We’ll compete with other robots at regional events who are also striving for a spot at the FIRST World Championships. Students will be encouraged to work with their teammates and take leadership positions, all while making an impact on their community.
