Navigating our complex healthcare system is challenging to say the least. Patient-Centered Care has become a rarity. Whether you are having a routine exam, an emergency, or dealing with a chronic illness, knowing how to advocate for yourself, or another is crucial. Advocacy requires knowledge, patience, resourcefulness, and fortitude. Being prepared before you must make important decisions will remove some of the stress. It will also empower you. Our presenter, Deborah, has been in the Health and Fitness field for over 30 years. She also brings her personal experience with her. She was her husband’s caregiver and advocate during his valiant 3-year battle with cancer. She is passionate about empowering others to use their voices and resources to be their own Healthcare Advocate, or the advocate for someone they love.
