Description
THUNDERSTORMS & LIGHTNINGLearn about our different weather patterns in 3 seperate classes. Each class is focused on a specific weather pattern. Class is instructed by Portland Meteorologist and CCC Faculty member in the Fire Science Dept, John Saltenberger.
This lesson will describe the mechanisms required for formation of cumulo-nimbus clouds and generation of lightning. Storm effects and thunderstorm safety will be addressed, including severe storms. The instructor will use video and graphic animation to help describe and better illustrate the key points in the lesson. A glossy handout on thunderstorms and lightning will be provided to students.
