Pool practices in the winter are the best way to get into kayaking. You can learn a ton there, and, when you are ready, you can take it to the river. Meet up with our experienced, ACA certified instructors as they walk you through the basics of whitewater kayaking, paddling techniques, and boating safety. If you are up for it, you can work on rolling your kayak as well! Participants are encouraged to bring their own boat and gear if they have it, or we can provide everything you need. Our participants gain a working knowledge of kayaking skills and receive individualized feedback. Our goal is to have participants leaving clinics with the interest, skills, and information needed to feel comfortable and confident paddling a kayak and safely exploring our local rivers with us in the summer.
