Frederick Douglass Park • 1616 East 25th Street IndianapolisIN  46218 Organized by Indianapolis Parks & Recreation Department

About this event

Description

Spices and herbs have a long, rich history. The impact they've had on society since the spice trade to the present day highlight their importance across all cultures. Spices bring flavor and life to the foods we eat. Spices and herbs can help add flavor to our meals without increasing our sodium intake....and the benefits don't stop there!
Spices and herbs are often very high in powerful antioxidants which help fight inflammation. Join us this month to learn about various spices and how you can use them to SPICE up your meals.
Presented by the Marion County Health Department as part of the Dip-In initiative.
Please check in at the front desk upon arrival for room location. Registration is also open for the next program. The next session will take place on November 14th from 11am-12pm and the topic will be Health for the Holidays!
