Description
World poetry constitutes a myriad of language acts, from ancient runes of oral traditions to sound and sign language poetry of the twenty-first century. In this course we will go through some of the finest modern and contemporary non-anglophonic poems available in English translation? Wislawa Szymborska (Poland) to Alfrizal Malna (Indonesia). Above all the course leader will introduce the participants to the poetry of his heart language — contemporary Burmese poetry. Presenter: Ko Ko Thett, MFA Poetry Candidate
