Description
Honor MLK day by learning more about another Civil Rights activist, Medgar Evers, through historical-based poetry. The group will use Turn Me Loose: The Unghosting of Medgar Evers by Frank X Walker as the basis for their study. No experience with poetry necessary. Helpful to purchase the book in advance, but instructor will photocopy some poems for close reading. Three sessions: January 9, 16, and 23 from 11-12. Instructor: Carol Tyx, Professor Emeritus Mt.
