The fall season is fast approaching, and that means fall volleyball leagues must soon be formed. If you have any questions, rule change suggestions, or want to get a better feel on the way leagues will be run please call Sara Helgeson at (608) 755-3013 or email her at helgesons@ci.janesville.wi.us.
Women's leagues play on Tuesday evenings (Marshall or Franklin Middle School), men play on Thursday evenings (at Marshall). Please note that players may only be a permanent roster player of one team. We will be using the middle school gym facilities. Fees will be $215.00 for the team fee (includes 10 permanent team players and 6 one-time subs) and a $10.00 player fee for each extra player (over 10). There is no additional charge for non-residents.
The deadline for new and returning teams will be Tuesday, August 20th. After this date, teams will lose their returning team status and be placed on a first come first serve basis with the new teams. New teams will be placed on a first come, first served basis, depending on level of play desired and openings available. A minimum of four teams per league are needed for the league to run. This is a team registration. Only the manager should register. Roster forms are available at the Recreation office or download to print from our Team Sideline website (www.teamsideline.com/janesville; under the downloads tab) or our City website (www.janesvillewi.gov/recreation; under the Adult Sports and Fall Men's & Women's Volleyball tabs).
Please Note: For the 2024 Adult Men's Fall Volleyball Leagues, there will be volleyball games on Thursday, October 31 (Halloween) in order to get all games in by December 19 before schools are closed for Winter Break. The way the calendar falls this year we will have to play on Halloween, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully we will not have any weather cancellations during the regular season that will push the league out to January 2 since we have the exact number of weeks for an ideal league (7 teams) including the following week for playoffs/championship game.
