Explore the rich tapestry of history through the lens of cinema this REACH week. “History Through Film” takes students on a journey across different eras of U.S. History using films to bring historical events to life. Students will analyze how filmmakers portray key moments in history, examining the accuracy, artistic interpretation, and cultural impact of these cinematic narratives. Through film screenings and discussions, students will gain a deeper understanding of history and develop their analytical skills by comparing historical facts with their representation on screen. This course not only engages historical knowledge, but it also fosters an appreciation of film as a powerful medium for storytelling. This experience is designed to be both educational and entertaining. Cap: 20. Instructor: Mr. Payne. Cost $50
