Blackwell Dairy has been Kamloops' own dairy farm since 1913 and is one of only a few dairies located in the interior that has its own processing plant. You've enjoyed drinking milk from Blackwell Dairy so here's your opportunity to visit the dairy farm and learn all about a dairy operation. The tour will include stepping into their original dairy barn built in 1988, visiting the nursery and meeting the future milking team, learning about their cows' nutrition and how they get the milk from the cow to your store and lastly, meeting the "ladies" who milk themselves at the Blackwell robotic milking station. The tour will end with a treat from Blackwell Dairy! This is a working farm, so sturdy, closed-toed shoes are mandatory and dress appropriately for the weather as we will be moving between buildings. Please meet at Blackwell Dairy in front of the farm store 15 minutes before our tour at 11 a.m.
