Description
Scorch's Hoopfest is an open, 3vs3 basketball tournament for all skill levels. There will be round robin pool play with a double elimination bracket. Team costumes/uniforms are encouraged! The Tournament will be Saturday, March 22nd (8am-8pm) and/or March 23rd (8am-4pm), depending on the number of teams registered.Registration:Team captain will register and for the entire team. Team members will join the team at no extra cost.
Format:
- All games are 20 minutes games to 21 points
- Round robin pool play into a double elimination bracket
- Open format welcomes all individuals to participate regardless of gender identity
- Teams are encouraged to have more than 3 players on their rosters to allow for substitutions as games could be back to back.
Warm up
- Warm up can occur on South court as no warm up will be provided on the game courts
Prizes:
- First placed team
- Best dressed team
Officiating:
- Teams will be responsible for providing one scorekeeper for their own games. This can be players on the bench, spectators, friends, etc.
