Women in STEM will be hosted by WWEST in partnership with Vernon Science Centre and UBC, at UBC Okanagan on Monday, May 12 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. This is an evening workshop for Grade 9-12 self-identifying girls in the Okanagan valley. In an inclusive, and compassionate environment, participants will discover a variety of STEM related career fields through several interactive workshops run by women mentors. Through these activities participants will explore what can be pursued in university and beyond. This is a great opportunity to talk to women in STEM careers, meet other girls interested in STEM, and engage in exciting new aspects of STEM. All self-identifying girls and nonbinary people in high school are welcome to register! Supplies for the sessions are provided with registration. Due to dietary needs, participants are required to provide their own snacks (nut free) and beverage for the evening. Thank you for your understanding.
