QUANTUM COMPUTING AND ADVANCED PHYSICS RESEARCH Activity Organizer: Manu Bharadwaj Email: manvendu.bh@gmail.com Dates: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 8-12 Cost: Description: The club aims to bring together BISV students interested in advanced physics topics and create opportunities for participants to: Work on projects/publications Participate in research programs such as RSI, Regeneron STS etc. Prepare for invitation only physics competitions such as the USA Physics Olympiad (USAPhO) The club plans to achieve the above objectives by conducting sessions on advanced physics topics including: electricity and magnetism, nuclear physics, quantum physics/computing and others. Students/faculty/external speakers will share their expertise on session topics with particular emphasis on high school research/project opportunities. The session topic selection will be flexible to allow for a wide range of topics. In addition, depending on participant interest there may be sessions dedicated to invitation only physics competitions (at this point limited to USAPhO).
