PREREQUISTE: having taken a sewing machine intro class or demonstrated ability to use sewing machine. This 4 week program will have you learning the ins and outs of making your own clothing. In this class we will construct a simple pullover top with a basic lightweight jacket or wrap. Students will learn and practice skills that can be applied to future garment construction projects such as: working with patterns, seam finishes, facings, setting in sleeves, hems, and machine buttonholes. Students will supply their own fabric and patterns. In the first meeting, we will discuss fabric options, how to measure body, and choosing pattern and sizes. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE until after the first class meeting. This program is taught by Artist and Founder of REACH, Alice Brinkman. Participants in Sew Fun courses may attend our Open Sewing Labs where participants can bring in their own sewing projects to work on, get help with troubleshooting, and sewing ideas from sewing experts!
