In this workshop, we will be using a screen-printing method that allows the artist to create a multi-colored printed surface over a larger area all in one session. Participants will create their own stencil to use with a blank screen and then learn to use their stencil with thickened fiber reactive dyes, creating original unique surface designs on silk and cotton cloth. Cloth will “cure” overnight at REACH and be ready for rinsing and pick-up during the Saturday morning dye lab. This worshop is taught by Artist and Founder of REACH, Alice Brinkman.
