About this event
Sew Fun Adult 102 builds upon the skills acquired in Youth Sew Fun 101. In this four-week course, students will advance their sewing techniques by completing an intermediate project. The class will be conducted by Artist and sewing instructor Sheila Moore. If you have a working sewing machine at home, you are encouraged to bring it to use at class. If not, we have sewing machines for you to use. Sew Fun Adult 101 is a prerequisite for this class. If you did not take Sew Fun 101 but already know sewing basics, please contact REACH whether this class is the best fit for you or your child. Students who can do the following will get the most out of this class: -winding the bobbin -threading the machine -executing straight and zig-zag stitches to sew seams on cloth. Participants in Sew Fun course may attend a free, twice-a-month Open Sewing Lab drop-in where participants can bring in their own sewing projects to work on, get help with troubleshooting, and sewing ideas from sewing experts!
