Description
December is a special time of year. For Baltimoreans especially but for everyone generally the season offers a chance to enjoy both the customary holiday traditions accompanied by a few that are unique to Baltimore. This program that details many of those traditions from first a historical perspective (e.g., just where did Santa originate?) along with the way those traditions impact the community (e.g., the obligatory photo on Santa’s knee). Christmas shopping – those “downtown” stores, holiday lights -- colored or a Menorah, and the Christmas Garden – for many, a requirement of the season. It’s an hour of Christmas, Hannukah, and Kwanzaa in Baltimore. Presented by Jack Burkert. Please sign up at the 50+ center front desk or by calling 410-313-0380.
