DAY 1
Welcome the holidays on a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains with the Wolf Pack! Sit back and relax as you travel to the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with meal and rest stops at your expense enroute. Upon arrival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee you check into the Greystone Lodge on the River (865-436-5621) for a four-night stay. Nestled between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Little Pigeon River, the Greystone not only offers glorious outdoor surroundings, it is brimming with character inside as well. The property features a seasonal outdoor heated pool, 24-hour fitness room, a business center with complimentary Wi-Fi, guest coin operated laundry, onsite-convenience shop, as well as restaurants, attractions, and shopping within walking distance. Guest room amenities include a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, flat panel TV, hair dryer and iron/ironing board. Dinner this evening is on your own, with time to relax and unwind at the lodge.DAY 2A deluxe continental breakfast is included at the lodge followed by a narrated driving tour of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with a local guide. Enjoy the splendor and beauty of the mountains and keep your eyes peeled for bear, deer, raccoons and any of the many animals and wildlife of the Smokies. Your guide will enlighten you with the natural and cultural history of the mountains and the people that call it home. Next, you board the Ober Mountain Aerial Tram and travel 2.1 miles upward to the top of the mountain for an awe-inspiring view of Gatlinburg. Once at the top, enjoy time to capture photographic memories, browse the shops and have lunch included. At the conclusion of your visit, you ride the aerial tram back down the mountain to board your motorcoach and depart for Pigeon Forge. Upon arrival, the magic of Christmas abounds as the talented renditions of Christmas favorites combined with beautiful choreography, brightly decorated holiday sets and colorful costumes bring the enchantment of Christmas to the stage at the Country Tonight Christmas Show matinee. It may be cold outside, but this talented cast will warm your hearts with holiday classics for a nostalgic, spirited celebration. After the show, you take a short drive down the road to Dolly Parton's Stampede for a hearty dinner followed by a spectacular holiday extravaganza that brings the true meaning of Christmas to life. Watch in delight as the Sugar Plum Fairy brings toys to life, witness the live nativity scene, and a visit from that jolly old elf, Santa, who makes an appearance on a horse-drawn sleigh. DAY 3Wake to a deluxe continental breakfast once again included at the lodge. Next, you depart for some shopping at The Christmas Place where you are sure to find the perfect holiday ornament as a souvenir of your visit to the Smoky Mountains. With over 60 designer-themed Christmas Trees, you have plenty of decorations and lights to choose from and enjoy each of these unique Christmas Trees. Afterwards, you will depart for Asheville, North Carolina where you will have free time for lunch on your own in Biltmore Village, a quaint little district with brick-lined sidewalks modeled after an English Village. Then, you depart for Biltmore Estate where you have some free time to explore Antler Hill Village. Dinner is included at one of the restaurants on the grounds of Biltmore Estate. The evening concludes with a glorious, self-guided candlelight walking tour of the Biltmore Estate and Grounds which celebrates the beloved traditions with unsurpassed style as one of the Southeast's most storied holiday destinations. Relive the days when George Vanderbilt opened Biltmore House for the first time to family and friends on Christmas Eve 1895. The soft glow of luminaries and holiday lights on the towering Norway Spruce welcome you to an enchanting home filled with dozens of Christmas trees gracefully decorated to usher in the holiday season. Following your heartwarming visit to the Biltmore, board the coach and return to the lodge for the night. B, D
DAY 4Today, enjoy a morning of leisure which may include some extra time for you to rest at the lodge or free time to explore downtown Gatlinburg, the choice is yours. A deluxe continental breakfast is included at the lodge. Lunch is on your own and at your expense today. Early afternoon, board the motorcoach for admission included at the Dollywood Craft and Entertainment Village where the spirit of the season shines brightest during the holidays. Dollywood is decked out in holiday splendor as the skies dance with the glimmer of more than 5 million twinkling lights, Santa's Village and Craftsman's Valley are all a buzz with festive fun and shopping galore, and don't forget the heartwarming and melodious music that fills the air with joy and excitement. Dinner is on your own and at your expense while at Dollywood. You will return to the hotel after your time at Dollywood. B
DAY 5Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast at the lodge before you check out, board the motorcoach and bid a fond farewell to the Smoky Mountains with memories of a joyous and heartwarming escape from the hustle and bustle etched in your mind, and maybe even a few gifts marked off your list. Meal and rest stops will be made along the way home. B
