Shotokan Karate-Do (SKIF System) is a traditional Japanese martial art that includes kihon (basics), kata (forms) and kumite (sparring). The study of karate is an inner search for growth and self-discipline, which encompasses many ideals. All instruction and certification are authentic and directly affiliated with SKIF Japan, one of the largest and finest karate organizations in the world. *A white karate uniform is required for class and can be ordered through the instructor. Instructor: Sensei James Shea 7th Dan SKIF (more than 47 years’ experience).Due to the anticipated switch to a new registration system in the Spring of 2025, we cannot accept online registrations for this program. Please complete the registration form located HERE on our website and email to customerservice@lprd.net or mail/drop off to the Parks & Rec office at the Greenwood Center.
A white karate uniform is required for class and may be ordered through the instructor.
