This course is designed to introduce mindfulness meditation practice as a way of reducing stress, and developing greater balance, ease and fuller participation in your life. Mindfulness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life including the challenges of stress, pain, illness and everyday demands.
The course includes one orientation (1.25 hours), 8 weekly classes (2.5 hours), and one day-long retreat session. Each class meeting incorporates guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices, gentle stretching, mindful yoga, discussion, and application of mindfulness into experiences of daily life. Related home assignments are suggested each week.
What is required?

- A greater appreciation for life and an increased ability to cope effectively with stressors and concerns
