Following our triumphant victory in last year’s championship, we are thrilled to expand our middle school Wildcat Speech & Debate program! This dynamic program is designed to empower students with essential skills for both formal and informal presentations. Participants will master the art of crafting and delivering compelling arguments, learning to inform, persuade, and motivate their audience in captivating ways. According to the English-speaking Union, debate is a natural fit for middle and high school education, and it offers a wealth of benefits backed by research and common sense. Engaging in debate enhances digital literacy and multimedia research skills, encourages critical thinking and diverse perspectives, boosts public speaking confidence, fosters effective listening, and strengthens civic discourse. Those with no prior experience are encouraged to start in the beginner class. After completing one term of beginner debate, students will have the opportunity to advance to the competitive team. This is your chance to unleash your voice, sharpen your skills, and become a confident communicator. Join us this spring and be part of the Wildcat legacy!
