Description
Join a naturalist for a guided ethnobotany hike in Tortolita Mountain Park. Curious about how humans have used desert plants for things like food, shelter and medicine? Explore the ethnobotanical history of Tortolita Mountain Park with a Pima County Conservation Lands and Resources naturalist. This will be a 3-4 mile hike, with some elevation change. Trekking poles are recommended and confidence on varied terrain is necessary. Bring a snack and plenty of water.
Hike may be subject to change due to weather*
For your safety and comfort:*Wear suitable hiking shoes or boots.*Bring a snack!*Carry a minimum of 2 liters of water per person.*Consider sun protection.*Bring a walking stick if you desire.*Bring binoculars.
Important Notes:*There are no restrooms or water stations on the trail.*Pets are not permitted (Service animals are OK).*Hikers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
