About this event
Do you have an interest in writing, reaching a larger audience, or sharing your point of view on current events? Are you in search of a community of like-minded peers? Do you read the school newspaper, the BIM Bulletin? Are you a current BIM 8th grader or high school student? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, Journalism Club is the perfect place for you! In this club, students will support the student-led school publication in order to ensure its continued relevance and success within the BIM community and beyond. Club members will produce ideas for pieces to publish on the school newspaper site, whether they are editorials, reported articles, photography, podcasts, or interactive features such as polls and games. Club advisor Dr. Pittman has served as Journalism mentor and teacher for the past five years. She will offer her expertise to guide your creative process. You’ll leave the club at the end of the year having gained new skills, built community, and crafted your public voice.
