Description
Often described as “Meditation in Motion”, Tai Chi is a gentle,low-impact form of mind/body exercise with smooth, flowing movements that contain a surprising inner power to strengthen the body and mind while promoting better health and increased relaxation. Participants will learn the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program developed by Dr. Paul Lam in Australia. Using the Sun Style of Tai Chi, it is designed to be safe and easy on the joints, improve balance and be easy to learn. This class is appropriate for adults and seniors who would like increased strength, coordination and flexibility, decreased joint pain, improved balance and posture, decreased stress and an increased sense of well-being. Tai Chi requires no specialequipment and is generally performed standing. This program, however, can be done seated if needed for safety.Program Secondary Category
