About this event

Description

Through MacPhail’s Global Music Initiative, we’re excited to bring a new tuition-free ensemble to MacPhail, a West African Percussion Ensemble taught by Master Drummer Fode Bangoura.

Students high school through adult of all experience levels are invited to enroll in this unique experience. Students will be introduced to the djembe, doun doun, and krin in addition to learning basic hand and stick technique and traditional West African rhythms and patterns.
