Every spring, thousands of sandhill cranes migrate over the forest preserves. Take part in a community science event as we count cranes from the scenic overlook. All ages; under 18 with an adult. $5 per person. To register by phone instead, call 630-933-7248.
Every Spring, thousands of Sandhill Cranes migrate over the forest preserves. Take part in a community science event as we count Sandhill Cranes from atop the Scenic Overlook at Greene Valley.
Program starts at 10:00 am, participants should arrive early for check in and driving to the top of the hill.
Be sure to dress for the weather and remember it is usually a bit more chilly from atop the hill. Arrive early for check-in. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars.
