About this event
Reaching for the Arts has offered professional musical training to New York City elementary, middle and high school students since 2015. Our award-winning educators incorporate academic and social emotional learning goals in the curriculum and customize the classes to actively engage all the students regardless of their performance abilities and experience. We consider singing a team sport, developing camaraderie among the participants and fostering every student to ensure they feel confident when performing and presenting. Our students become young leaders while discovering and developing their unique talents and communications skills. Over the years, students in our program have been invited to perform at the United Nations, Carnegie Hall, Moynihan Station, Manhattan School of Music, Brooklyn Cyclones games and various cultural events sponsored by the City of New York. Join us and have a blast while singing together, making new friends and contributing to your school community through the love of music.
