4 Mondays, May 5, 12, 19, June 2, 6:30 - 8:00 PM "Writing As A Practice" Taught by Bob Davis $66 Member / $73 Non-member Based on the text "Writing Down the Bones" by Natalie Goldberg, this class will assist you in creating a writing practice that is flexible, honest and most importantly, responsive to life. "Writing Down the Bones" is about cultivating a fearless and consistent writing practice by blending creativity with mindfulness. Goldberg encourages writers to embrace the raw, unpolished process of writing as a way to discover their authentic voice and tap into the flow of their thoughts without self-judgment. Students should purchase the book or find a copy at the library. Creative writing is an art that improves with practice, just like music, painting, or any other art form. Led by poet and author Bob Davis (3-time Delaware Division of the Arts grant recipient), this class will help students feel more comfortable exploring their own creativity without getting hung up in perfectionism or self-criticism.
