Description
Marvelous Mushrooms!Walking in the Park you can almost always find mushrooms of all shapes, sizes, and colors poking up along the ground, out of a pile of leaves, or on the side of a fallen log. Where do they come from? Why do they appear in so many different places? Are they toxic? Come out to the Discovery Center to learn about these often misunderstood and important members of our ecosystem.

Discovery Center - From the Newport News Park main entrance, proceed 1 mile on Constitution Ave; the Discovery Center and parking lot is on the right - look for the Civil War canon!
