Description
Winter Birds!Winter is a great time for bird watching - both here at Newport News Park and in your own backyard! If you're not sure of the names or the calls of some of our winter birds, then come the Discovery Center for a beginner's guide to the "who's who" of our feathered friends. This family-friendly program will help you identify a number of birds species by sight and call, as well as give you some tips on winter feeding in your own yard.

Discover Center - From the Newport News Park main entrance, proceed 1 mile on Constitution Ave; the Discovery Center and parking lot is on the right - look for the Civil War canon!
