Work with longtime Actor Factory instructor Alissa Branch in this highly concentrated one-day intensive. Each character we play comes from a specific place, time and circumstance. They have experienced a different (fictional) life and back-story that might not match the actor’s lived experience. Therefore, not every character moves and uses their body in the same way the actor does. How can an actor quickly recognize their physical options and make authentic physical choices that support the acting they are doing? In this workshop, we’ll explore simple physical movement exercises and analyze texts as a way to explore character physicality. Suitable for actors of all levels and physical abilities, this fun, playful, and practical workshop will help the actor improve their ability to make clear, connected physical choices on stage or screen. There is nothing to prepare in advance; appropriate for performers of all levels of experience. Only 12 seats available.
