About this event
Pack a lunch and join us for a full space exploration! Have you ever wanted to go on an adventure where no one’s ever been before? How would you pack? What would you eat? In this adventure, we are going to OUTER SPACE as Aerospace Engineers. First, we will think about what we should pack and take a test mission to an asteroid to gather samples. Next, we will learn about what astronauts eat and design a tiny garden for the outer space atmosphere to provide fresh food on our trip. Then, we will design our space suit, learning about how different forces in space affect the human body, to make them both fashionable and functional. In the last part of this module, we will visit Mars and build a Rover out of bamboo skewers and Styrofoam plates to help scientists explore the Red Planet even after we are gone. In this module, students will think like real engineers who help astronauts get to and comfortably live in outer space every day.
