Description
If you are interested in taking photographs but want to learn more from a hands-on class, this workshop is for you! Instructor Brian Walsh has over 30 years of experience taking landscape, wildlife and travel photography and he has designed this class to give you the opportunity to learn in the field in a small group instructional setting. The course will begin with a 1.5 hour photography session outside along Percival Landing. You will learn camera basics, as well as more advanced techniques such as exposure control, panoramic photography, and high dynamic range. Bring your camera, manual and a tripod (if you have one, or you can use the instructor’s). After the field session, the class will shift to The Olympia Center for a session for reviewing your photos, enhancing images with a computer, and ideas for improved compositions. Beginning or intermediate photographers are encouraged to enroll in the class. Meet outside the Harbor House on Percival Landing.
Class will meet on the boardwalk near the water, in front of the Harbor House on Percival Landing. We will be outside for first 1.5 hours, then move to The Olympia Center for the final 1.5 hours. Please bring your camera, manual and tripod (if you have one) and cable to connect camera to computer.
