All Parker Recreation leagues are designed to be safe, educational and to create a place for athletes to have fun while building important social skills such as self-confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork. Each participant will play at least half of each game.
Please carefully review the descriptions for Upper Recreation teams before registering.
- 8 to 10 division teams play 5 v 5.
- Each team receives one, one-hour practice per week and games on Saturdays

- Standings are not kept.
- Score is displayed on the score board.
- Screening is allowed.
- Double Team is not allowed.
- Over and back violations WILL BE enforced.
- Three second violations WILL BE enforced.
- Double dribble violations WILL BE enforced.
- No free throws.
- Personal fouls WILL NOT be recorded.
- Hoop Height: 9 feet
Recreational leagues focus on basic skill development and game knowledge and are designed for players of varying skill levels.
- Upper Recreational: All registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Upper Recreational leagues are recommended for players with some previous experience and those who have a good understanding of the game, some pre-existing basketball skills and those looking for a more of a challenge.
- If your child plays in any type of club level basketball, they must play in the Upper Division.
- Please carefully review the descriptions for Upper and Beginner Recreational teams before registering.
All registration is taken on a first come, first serve basis. Recreational leagues focus on basic skill development and game knowledge and are designed for players of varying skill levels.
- Age is determined by the participants age on the final date of each season. Players may not play up or down (outside of their age range). For ages that overlap, please choose the best division based on your child's size, skill and previous playing experience.
- Equipment Needs: Wear shorts and athletic shoes. All participants will need to supply their own Basketballs (Size 28.5). Jerseys are included.
- All teams are coached by volunteer coaches. If you are interested in coaching a team, please contact Kayelynn Green at kgreen@parkeronline.org
- You will hear from your coach five to seven days prior to the season start date. Be sure you note which coach you picked during registration.
