Description
Explore the art of pottery! You will receive a demonstration and hands on instruction in preparing a sauce/dipping bowl and a charcuterie-cheese board. You will be introduced to slab building, carving and the use of stamps or transfers to adorn your pieces. On week two you will learn about and apply glazing techniques and dip and paint glazing to make each of your pieces their own creation. Students will be able to pick up their finished pieces three weeks later. An apron or older smock type shirt is recommended for this activity.
Please bring a towel and an apron or old shirt to wear.
All supplies, tools, and sample finished pieces provided by the instructor.
