Description
This class will be an hour-long class of “Hatha Yoga” which is basic yoga for everyone. Hatha Yoga emphasizes posture, flexibility and complete body workout through mindfulness, body movement, stillness, balance and agility. There will be a series of stretches, breathing exercises and yoga poses. The mat-based classes start with centering the mind and body through seated awareness and breathing exercises followed by some core workout and warm up exercises. Then we flow into some standing poses. We taper the class with some cooling down poses, ending in deep relaxation.Beginners as well as seasoned yoga practitioners are welcome.
It will be more suitable for ages 15 and above, with exceptions handled case by case.
Both men and women are encouraged to attend.
Yoga mats are provided by the community center.
The participants are expected to:
1. Be punctual. Arrive before class to pick the mat, find a place and settle.
2. Wear comfortable clothes
3. Not eat heavy food at least 2 hours before the class.
Beginners as well as seasoned yoga practitioners are welcome.
