About this event
This is for any youth in Clallam County in 6th-8th grade. This team works hard learning and training to sail fast and it is the best way to spend lots of time on the water. Our focus will be on developing a supportive team environment and on developing a process for improvement. Sailing is not segregated by gender and everyone can participate and compete on an equal playing field. While sailors in 6th grade have the option of being on either the Opti Team or the Middle school team, the middle school team works well for sailors that have either outgrown Opti's (120lbs+) or that are looking to move into a faster 2 person dinghy. Practices run Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-6:30 PM. As your sailor progresses there will be opportunities to participate in regattas, or sailboat races. Regular attendance is required to be on this team.
