Basic Keelboat Level 2 This course builds on skills learned in Level 1 (Parts of the boat, points of sail, sail theory, sailing windward and downwind, steering, and basic knots). With more practice on the water. In addition, this will introduce review safety on the water and crew overboard practice drills. It will touch on anchoring techniques, review heavy weather sailing and appropriate sail configuration, weather, introduction to charts and navigation. Depending on weather conditions and comfort of the students, the group may also go through the uses of a spinnaker and setting it up. (15 hours total instruction time) Friday 3PM-6PM Saturday 9AM-3PM Sunday 9AM-3PM
