Let's play hockey! Parents and or guardians and their children learn to play hockey together. Program teaches fundamental hockey and skating skills and each session concludes with a fun scrimmage.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Tot Level 1 or by drop in assessment during public skates. Tots and parents must be able to stand, balance and move forward independently on skates the width of the arena in order to participate.
Equipment: Program fee includes skates, helmet, hockey gloves and stick. Full gear not required.
Reminder:
- Arrive approx. 20 min prior to class to acquire and put on equipment
Equipment provided:
- Hockey stick and hockey gloves
- Skates and helmet
Bring:
- CSA hockey helmet with face cage required if providing your own helmet
- Welcome to bring your own hockey stick and gloves
Helpful tips:
- This is a parent participation program, parent must wear skates
- Allow adequate time prior to lessons to acquire and put on equipment
- Non plastic skates provide better learning
- Full hockey gear not required for program
