Instructor: Ms. Emma 1.5 hour class! Small class of 12 students max. Get your hands into clay! In this course you'll learn where clay comes, stages of clay, the full ceramic process, and the many ways to use it. Attach coils and slabs together to make clay creations as you go through the program. Learn pottery wheel safety and basics, practice centering and work on making functional creations. This is an ongoing class that may be repeated, and prepares students for continuing study to the next level of ceramics when readiness is demonstrated. Grades 6-8th grade or by Instructor's permission. Clay, glazing and firing cost covered for in-class projects. Payment plans available. Financial assistance available for qualifying students.
