For day campers the fee includes instruction, lunch and a camp t-shirt. For overnight campers the fee includes instruction, meals, housing and a camp t-shirt. This camp offers 52 spaces for rowers and 8 spaces for coxswains. During the Summer Rowing Camp, a rower’s daily routine will include workouts twice a day on Lake Carnegie, introductions to effective ergometer workouts & testing methods, core strength training, technical sessions in the rowing tanks and several guest speakers. Speakers will cover a wide range of topics including nutrition best practices, building better strategies for ergometer testing and the experience of rowing in the Olympics. Coaches will be available to discuss how personal training, and technical improvements will enable each rower to achieve his or her goals. In addition, each rower will have access to video taken throughout the week. Coxswains will be separated into their own group for instructional sessions. They will also be assigned to a boat for on-the-water training and races. Overall, the Summer Rowing Camp will provide an exceptional opportunity for rowers and coxswains.
