Historic Oak View County Park • 4028 Carya Drive RaleighNC  27610 Organized by Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space

About this event

Description

Moving History: Oak View and The Great Migration
Join us Tuesday, 10/8 at 11 a.m. as we explore the largest mass migration of people in U.S. history, The Great Migration, and why people move from one place to another. We'll read a story to help us understand what pushes or pulls people to leave their homeplaces and learn about individuals who made Oak View their home until forces led them to choose to leave it behind.
The program is open to all ages, and is best suited for elementary to middle school-aged abilities. Registration is free, but is required for all participants.
Registration is required for all participants. Should your plans change or you are unable to attend the program, please contact us at oakview@wake.gov or 919-250-1013 and let us know.
