Mini Break Day Camp: Winter in the Sanctuary
Friday, January 17, 2025from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.This January, join an experienced Interpreter to explore the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary in all its winter glory! Children and youth will go snowshoeing (snow levels permitting), play games, and explore what winter looks like for the plants and animals of the Sanctuary. Specific activities will depend on outdoor conditions.
Children should dress for the weather including boots, snowpants, jacket, scarf, hat, and mittens/gloves. Please also bring a snack, lunch (no nuts!), water bottle, indoor shoes, and an extra pair of socks.This program takes place at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.
Ages 6–12.$37/youth/day.Limited spaces available.Pre-registration required by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early dropoff and late pickup available at registration for a small additional fee. (Code at checkout is yes.) Early dropoff runs from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.; late pickup runs from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Regular dropoff is at 9:00 a.m. Regular pickup is at 4:00 p.m.
